| Josh 22/08/2008 5:46pm | There are times when it would be nice to do some re-arranging of the hierarchy of my mail folders. The problem with doing this though, is that it breaks the filters that are pointing to that particular part of the tree.
Would it be possible, when creating filters, that the link that is used to move an email to a folder be based on a hidden "ID" for the folder. That way the link from the filter can follow the folder, based on it's unique ID, rather than based on it's arbitrary location in a tree. I am sure there are many reasons not to do this, such as the difficulty in making scripts (possibly that still rely on the hierarchal location) but I would appreciate discussing it a little. - Josh |
