| CaRMeN 29/07/2007 4:59pm | I forgot my password for my pop acocunt and the provider wont help me get another. They simply say they can't because it's encrypted.
I have no problem accessing my account because I had had i.Scribe save it before I actually forgot it, but it disturbs me. Is it possible in any way to retrieve my password from some file in my i.Scribe folder? |
| fret 30/07/2007 12:10am | i.Scribe obscures the passwords in the settings file so they can't be easily stolen. I'm not comfortable about publishing how that works online.
I think you have 2 options, a) getting a network sniffer and see the password in the raw as you connect to the server or b) talk to me over email and extract it from the settings file. |
