| memecode 03/12/2025 6:13pm | As the drag and drop is currently broken in Linux I've been playing around with moving email with the FolderSelect dialog. So there is new Move/Copy menu items in the context menu of an email. From there it brings up the folder select dialog.
Which has a few new tricks. - Firstly it focuses the filter edit box by default - Then as you type is hides non-matching folders - It also highlights matches in blue - And finally allows you to select next/prev matches with the up/down arrow keys while still having the focus on the filter editbox. So moving email to a new folder can be done relatively efficiently with just the keyboard: - Menu key to bring up the context menu, select 'Move' - Type a short string to filter where you want to move the email to - Optionally up/down to select the right match - Enter to move the mail to the currently folder It's almost as fast as dnd?! |
