| Author/Date | Error: failed to get thread count [Kubuntu] |
| RoDen 09/10/2024 10:54pm | Hi,
While opening some e-mails the program crashes with Threads: No threads. CrashHandler.cpp:233 - Error: failed to get thread count. Also, in console there's a bunch of Invalid UTF8: './src/common/Gdc2/Font/Charset.cpp:189 - Invalid utf @ offset=0, bytes=... Everything else is working pretty well right now. Thanks for your great work! |
| memecode 10/12/2024 9:33pm | How is the latest version? |
| RoDen 12/12/2024 5:20pm | Thanks!
The crashes are gone! Invalid UTF8s are still there, but I don't see any problems with the texts. Those are mainly notification letters, so I don't read 'em thoroughly. There are also some scaling issues which require further investigation. Maybe, I've messed up some settings in Scribe or KDE. But the most probable cause is that I'm still using a 4:3 "square" monitor ); |
| RoDen 28/07/2025 4:50pm | The error is back, now, when I hit "Reply" button:
Threads: No threads. CrashHandler.cpp:233 - Error: failed to get thread count. Affected versions (at least): 3.11, 3.12, 3.14 Version 3.08 is unaffected! Also, in v3.14: ./scribe: error while loading shared libraries: libiconv.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory until I place libiconv.so into /usr/lib/ directory. |
| RoDen 12/04/2026 11:36pm | The above-mentioned error is also present in version 3.15 x64.
Please, fix! |
