fret 16/11/2018 8:45am | How can I turn off multi-backup of options-file? It's baked in and there is no option to turn that off. It will auto-clean up old files and not let it grow to an unreasonable size. So what's the issue here? It looks bad? Users losing all their settings used to be a major problem when the software crashed. So keeping a few historical files around means the start up code can recover a working copy in the event of failure. It's been working really well as I have had zero complaints about lost settings since I implemented the backups. |
ALL 16/11/2018 6:15pm | I have 57 bak-files now. :)
It looks like breeding rabbits :) |
Scott 18/11/2018 4:24am | I have the same problem, although I only have 53 backup copies so far. |

ALL 22/11/2018 5:22pm | >Fixed the portable mode not clearing out old options file versions. Is was doing that fine in "desktop" mode, but I've refactored the code to use the same functionality in both modes.
I seems not working. Bak files are breeding in 232 :) |
fret 25/11/2018 10:12am | I seems not working. Bak files are breeding in 232 :) I've made a portable install and tried to reproduce the issue. And no luck, it still clears older ones on startup (not during runtime). I have added extra logging around that code so in the next build it should tell us more. |
