minnie 23/10/2018 6:18am | I now want to store some old sensitive emails in InScribe, but I don't seem to be able to get the folder security feature to work. I couldn't find anything in the help pages.
Here is what I have done: 1) Made a folder containing some local messages. 2) Set a password from File > Security settings. I have tried setting the Read and Write/Delete permissions to either None or User. 3) From the context menu for the local folder in #1, set the access permissions to Read:user Write/Delete:User and click OK. Result: When I reopen the folder in #1, I am not asked for a password, and looking at the context menu both Read and Write/Delete permissions have None checked. I'm pretty sure I have InScribe in portable mode, but running off a hard drive F:. |

minnie 15/04/2019 9:00am | It seems to work fine.
Feature request1: It would be nice to have an inherit access permissions for all subfolders option. That is if you have a local folder which you have protected, then you can protect all subfolders by checking the option. Feature request2: Require permissions when expanding the folder. Currently anyone can expand a folder that requires permissions. Thanks for having a look at this. |
