There seems to be some bug in the import-function, when importing mails from Outlook XP. | fReT 30/03/2003 12:26am | One fairly safe way of doing it is, export the email to files and then drop them into a folder in Scribe.
The outlook file format is not completely known, so when it crashes it's some quirk in the format. M$ doesn't publish the format. |
| Svatas 30/03/2003 2:38am | I have the same problem. Exporting from Outlook to mail is not so accurate, because you lost attachments, mail formating etc. After some testing there is a solution :
- export your mails to Personal folder (PST) files in Outlook - install Mozilla - import PST to Mozilla - export from Mozilla to MBOX - import to Scribe All mails are there and everything works. Have a nice day Svatopluk Vit Czech republic |

If Mozilla has a .PST importer and being open source... it should be possible to find out the format of the PST file by looking into the source of Mozilla. Hmmm. There is another way of importing Outlook messages, drag and drop them into a Scribe folder. A recent feature, so get the latest. |
