gdamen 27/07/2007 7:00am | FreT,
When I open a mail with embedded images (for example the newsletter from Modelrailroader (www.modelrailroader.com) in a separate window nScribe crashes after a few seconds with the following information from "crashdata.txt" --- Unhandled Exception Code: c0000005 Date: 27/7/2007 8:51:30 Description: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION SymInitialize(FFFFFFFF, 0, true) failed with error: 0xC0000005 Call stack: ------------------------------------------------------------------ 004B0267 10057EE3 0041D03E ------------------------------------------------------------------ ---------- The same mail can be viewed without a problem in the preview mode. I tested this on two different computers (both W2K) and the same happend. Removing the scribe_html.dll (1.89-r17) didn't solve the problem. Gino |
gdamen 27/07/2007 7:04am | Hmm,
Just installed the four scribe-extra dll's (iconv.dll, libjpeg.dll, libpng.dll and zlib.dll) and the crash disappears... This is nice, but is shouldn't be necessary to install additional lib's to prevent a crash. Gino |
fret 01/08/2007 5:53am | I'll look into this...
I suspect that it's because some incompatible DLL's are in your system, i.e. older or newer version of libpng.dll or libjpeg.dll and when Scribe opens those dll's to parse the images in the email it crashes. But that's just a guess. |
fret 07/08/2007 12:47am | This is just a bug in Lgi. I've fixed it for the next release. |
gdamen 07/08/2007 8:32am | Thanks for looking into it.
