Also ocurred in 1.88. When viewing an attachment that was a graphic image, such as a jpeg file, I always am shown the first attachment I viewed since starting i.Scribe. i.e, If I happen to view a jpg of a screenshot in a file I sent to someone, and then subsequently look at attachments I sent in the past that are also graphics, I still see that same screenshot jpg. If I close iScribe, and then look at a new attachment(image), then I can see that image, but then if I look at other attachments in other email mesages without restarting iScribe, I see the first image I viewed after restarting the software.
Can you test this in the latest release? I'm pretty sure I fixed something that sounds a lot like this in the most recent build (test20).
Created an attachment (id=36) [details] Version snapshot
Sorry, I meant to add that test 20 was the version I was using. The dropdown on the bug report did not list test20 so I selected the latest I could. And forgo to to mention it in the report text. I created a snapshot attachment to show confirmation. And yes, the problem still exists... Thanks
Ok I've fixed the version. Are the filenames of the attachments the same?
Thanks No, almost all are different, although in one or two cases, there were emails amonght those I tested attachments from (whether sent or received) that I had sent over the course of say, the last month, where I had sent the same file (name) more than once.
So I'm trying to reproduce this: - Attach 1.png to an email, send it... - Attach 2.png to a new email, send it... - Go to /Sent, open first email and then double click the attachment... I see image 1.png - Open the 2nd email, open the attachment, get 2.png... Seems to work for me. You'll need to give detailed instructions to reproduce the issue.
FYI: Attachments reside on disk until the email they are attached to gets saved. If you open an attachment in a new unsaved email it just launches the original file. After the email is saved the attachment resides inside the mail2 folders. In which case Scribe has to save it to the temp folder before launching it. On shutdown it clears the temp folder. Maybe that could help explain the behavior your seeing.
